Student Parking Permits
- The Frederick County Public School system provides bus transportation for all students who qualify. Students are encouraged to ride the bus. In addition, off-campus parking is available for all students.
- Since parking spaces on campus are limited, students must demonstrate a clear need to drive to school. A student must also display the ability to operate the vehicle in a responsible and safe manner. It is the student's responsibility to honor all rules and regulations. All student drivers must clearly understand that parking a vehicle on campus is a privilege, not a right.
- All students parking on campus must have a valid license and registration.
- Students may only park in the student parking lot located next the the practice field in front of the building. All student spaces are numbered. Students may not park in un-numbered spaces at any time (with the exception of drivers permitted to park in designated handicapped spaces).
Student parking applications are now available. All students who wish to park on campus during the school day must complete a parking application and be approved.
- A parking permit is required to park any motor vehicle at Frederick High School. This includes scooters and motorcycles.
- Students must have a valid driver's license to be eligible for a permit.
- A completed copy of the Parking Application must include:
- a fee of $20.00 (cash), and
- a copy of the student’s valid driver's license and the vehicle’s registration certificate.
- Parking permit applications are approved based on need, then by a first-come first-served basis.
Students must meet one or more of the following criteria in order to be eligible:
- participating in the Work Study program with Ms. Brawner
- participating in Service Learning or Internship off campus
- received an Administrative Attendance Waiver
- students with Special Needs
